Shotgun
These classes are skill builder classes for Shotgun. Students should complete the appropriate Student Waiver on this website under Documents and plan to arrive 30 minutes before the start of class. Please report to the training kiosk upon arrival.
The goal of the SAFTEA's “Defensive Shotgun 1” course is to provide the student with a solid foundation in basic knowledge of shotgun safety, various types of shotgun, an understanding of ammunition and how it functions, shooting fundamentals and an introduction to defensive shooting skills.
Students learn rules for safe gun handling; shotgun parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development.
